Ouch!

So, last night we had our first official oops! with the big boy bed. About 4:00 this morning Cole let out a scream and started crying. Scott and I rushed down there to find him sitting on his floor by the foot of his bed, where he had fallen out. He went back to sleep pretty quickly with Scott snuggling him, and this morning I asked what had happened. His explanation was that he was trying to get a binky (pacifier) that had fallen and then he got back into bed. I was pretty sure that he was still tired, and maybe wasn't even aware of the fact that he had fallen out. I was wrong though. When we were getting ready to leave, Scott saw a binky hidden down between the mattress and the wooden bed frame right where he fell, poor kiddo!

Big Boy Bed

Well, it is official, Cole is definitely a big boy now. Last night he slept in his big boy bed for the very first time. He has been really excited to do this, but we were still a little nervous about how he would sleep. Apparently we had nothing to worry about because he slept the whole night through with no issues. I must be honest that I was kinda sad last night when I walked down the stairs from our bedroom and I looked in his old room and there was no one sleeping in the bed. Hard to believe that he is already this big. p.s. Since he still uses his binky at night, he thought that it was pretty cool that the railing has a special "binky pocket" built in.

Bowling!

For Lanie's (my niece) birthday this year, she wanted a bowling party. Cole was very excited that he got to go, and he even got to do some bowling. These are a couple of pics of him doing his best to get the ball down the lane, though sometimes he had to get a little help from daddy. There was a little boy his age there from his school whose sister came to the party, so he even had a bowling buddy!

First Field Trip!

So now that Cole is in preschool, he gets to start going on field trips. The most important thing about that, is that he gets to ride on a REAL SCHOOL BUS! He absolutely loves school buses, so when we went to the pumpkin patch last week, he was on cloud nine that he got ride like all of the other big kiddos! We had a lot of fun, and I was so glad that I got to go and share the day with him

An oldie but a goodie...

So....I found this picture the other day when I was looking at old pics on my computer. I cannot believe how many curls he used to have, and I thought that this was too cute so I had to post it.
