First Royals Game

This past weekend Scott's mom came to town for a visit and we all went to the Royals/Cardinals game on Saturday. It was Cole's first baseball game, and we think that he liked it, but it was sooooooo hot! At one point, the poor little dude actually took his shirt off, lol. He made it through 4 1/2 innings before he insisted that it was time to go, and with the heat, we were all pretty happy to oblige. Our seats were great, and they happened to be right next to the tunnel where Slugger comes out, so Cole and daddy even got to take a picture with him!

Thomas the Train!

Last weekend we took Cole to Baldwin City, KS to see Thomas the Train. He LOVED it, and we had such a great time playing with trains, sliding, seeing a magician and of course... taking a ride on a REAL train!

We're putting him to work...

Last night Scott was trying to fix some nails that had popped up out of our deck floor, and of course Cole wanted to help. He went down to his tool bench and grabbed his hammer and came out to pound some nails too. At the end you can hear him get upset because his isn't as loud as Scott's, lol.

Saturday was a beautiful day so Cole (and his parents) headed to the zoo with his friends Connor and Ashlin (oh, and their parents Brian and Chris). We had tons of fun, and saw lots of cool animals. He can't wait until we get to go back and visit again!
p.s. We are pretty sure that they weren't supposed to be sitting on that fence, but it was too cute of a picture op.

Last night "Uncle Scott" had to fill in on Daddy night at Avery's soccer practice since Chris had a track meet. When practice was finally over, we were really hungry so we decided to stop at McDonalds and grab a bite on the way home. While we were finishing up, a little girl named Giana from Cole's class came in with her Grandpa to get some ice cream, so of course Cole wanted an ice cream too. They were too cute eating together, and Cole actually loved it-who knew?

Need a little wind here!

A couple of weeks ago we went to Sweet Leah's first birthday party, and one of the little goodies that Cole picked up was an Elmo kite. Since it has been pretty windy around here lately, Scott thought that it would be fun to try and teach Cole how to fly a kite. Cole LOVED it!!!! Here are a couple of pictures of them flying the very cool Elmo kite.
